The theme for this years Fire Prevention Week is: “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home!” Fire prevention involves removing a fire's necessary components—heat, oxygen, and fuel—through practices like maintaining good housekeeping to reduce fuel, properly handling and storing flammable materials, ensuring electrical systems are safe and not overloaded, regularly inspecting heating equipment, and carefully managing cooking and open flames. Additionally, installing and testing smoke alarms and maintaining them, and planning for emergencies with escape routes and fire drills, are critical preventative measures
