"FUN Drum Exercise" - Led by Library Director Misty Strode, Cardio Drumming is a fitness routine that combines drumming with cardiovascular exercise. Participants use drumsticks to hit an exercise ball (often called a stability ball) while moving to music or a rhythmic beat. The movements can include drumming overhead, to the side, and even between the legs, offering a full-body workout.

The theme for this years Fire Prevention Week is: “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home!” Fire prevention involves removing a fire's necessary components—heat, oxygen, and fuel—through practices like maintaining good housekeeping to reduce fuel, properly handling and storing flammable materials, ensuring electrical systems are safe and not overloaded, regularly inspecting heating equipment, and carefully managing cooking and open flames. Additionally, installing and testing smoke alarms and maintaining them, and planning for emergencies with escape routes and fire drills, are critical preventative measures

Needling felt, also known as needle felting, is a crafting process where loose wool fibers are tangled and condensed using special barbed needles to create 3D sculptures or 2D art. You'll need wool (like roving), a felting needle (or multi-needle tool), a felting mat, and optional finger protectors to prevent injury. The technique involves repeated stabbing motions with the needle, causing the wool fibers to interlock and firm up into a desired shape. **Please Register with the Library
